What's new

A running list of updates to Cape Tracker — newest first.

2026-07-25

  • Quest requirements filled in for the whole Elder God Wars series (Desperate Creatures through Aftermath) — Quest Order now places those 16 in a sensible order instead of dumping them at the end, and fixed Azzanadra's Quest, which was missing two of its own prerequisites.
  • Quests with "or" skill requirements are now handled properly — Sins of the Father needs 85 in any one of Crafting, Runecrafting, Smithing or Invention, and the tracker now says so rather than picking one.
  • New "Since your last sync" panel on your dashboard — after a re-sync it shows what actually moved: levels gained, XP, quests completed, and anything the sync ticked off for you. It sticks around between visits, so you can still see what you got done last session.
  • Construction now goes to 120 (the 13 July house rework raised its cap), and Completionist requires 120 of it. Your Construction progress bar and the Comp/Master Max skill lists all reflect that now.
  • Hunter's Completionist requirement is 110, matching its raised cap.
  • Recipe for Disaster and Dimension of Disaster are now tracked as their individual subquests rather than one entry each — so Quest Order puts Another Cook's Quest early where it belongs, and quests gated on a specific subquest (Love Story, Do No Evil, The Great Brain Robbery, Evil Dave's Big Day Out) now correctly show as blocked until you've done it.
  • Multi-part quests count as their subquests in your quest totals, so a 10-part quest no longer counts the same as a 1-part one.

2026-07-12

  • Compare now supports up to 5 players at once, not just 2.
  • Added a link to the Equilibrium league tracker at the top of the sidenav.
  • Combined "sync to another device" and "export/import a backup file" into one Backup & Sync control, tucked behind a single button instead of two always-open panels — same features, less space taken up above your dashboard.

2026-07-10

  • General performance pass — the achievement browser and Journey page respond faster, especially when you have a lot of progress tracked.
  • Cleanup under the hood — removed a bunch of leftover code with no user-facing effect on how the tracker works.
  • Added this changelog page (and a footer link to it) so you can see what’s new.
  • Cape Tracker is now installable as an app (PWA), with an offline fallback if your connection drops.
  • Compare progress — see your cape progress side-by-side with a friend’s.
  • Export/import — back up your progress to a file, or move it to another browser or device.
  • Moved the Journey page’s long-term grind strip higher up the page so it’s visible without scrolling.
  • Simplified the Journey page’s filters by folding the theme picker into the Medium-term filter.

2026-07-09

  • Completion celebration — finishing a cape now gets a little fanfare, and your Player page has a Trophy Case showing every cape you’ve completed and when.
  • All Achievements browser — search and filter every achievement across every cape from one page instead of hunting through each cape tab.
  • Shareable progress pages — share a live link to your cape progress (skills and quests, synced from RuneMetrics) on Discord or Reddit, no account needed.
  • Multiple characters — track more than one RuneScape name in the same browser and switch between them anytime.
